Regulatory returns

Don’t leave it until the last minute! Late submission can result in a financial penalty.

If your year end is in line with the financial year you need to submit by 11 May 2018.

Submit your returns via eServices-Operator.

If you have any questions email: licensing@gamblingcommission.gov.uk

Your regulatory returns are important to the work that we do. We use the data provided to:

  • ensure you are within the correct fee category
  • to provide us with vital information to ensure we regulate effectively
  • to publish bi-annual industry statistics.

Correct and full submission of regulatory returns is a condition of your licence, so please make sure you get your returns to us properly.

Where returns are submitted late, incomplete, or are inaccurate, we will contact you.

Most operators submit their returns on time and accurately. Chasing returns which are late or have errors, costs time and money and makes us less efficient.

If you have breached your licence conditions (see Licence conditions and codes of practice, section 15.3.1), or misrepresented or failed to reveal information that you are asked to provide (which is an offence under section 342 of the Gambling Act 2005), then we will take actions to ensure compliance. These can include revocation of your licence or criminal prosecution.

Making a regulatory return

Regulatory returns need to be submitted via our online regulatory returns system (eServices). Guidance is available throughout the system and from the links on this webpage.
_______________________________________________________

You need to submit a return for each type of activity for which you hold a licence. For example, if you hold a remote casino licence, you will need to complete the relevant sections of the remote casino, betting and bingo (RCBB) return. If you also hold a gambling software licence you will need to complete the gambling software return as well.
_______________________________________________________

If you have ceased trading in any particular activity, or have not yet started to trade, but still hold a valid licence at the time a return is due you must submit a 'nil' return.
