Draw Based Games
1. How can I buy tickets for National Lottery Draw Based Games?
You can buy tickets for National Lottery Games at National Lottery retailers, via the National Lottery website, or via your mobile phone. You can also buy tickets for Lotto and EuroMillions through Sky Active on your TV.
All purchases are stored on Camelot’s central computer system.
2. How do I find out where my nearest retailer is?
You can find out where your nearest retailer is by calling the National Lottery Line on 0845 0910 0000.
3. Is there an easy way to check my numbers online to see if I have won?
Yes. The National Lottery website offers an online ticket-checking facility. This can be found at:
http://www.national-lottery.co.uk/player/p/results/winCheck/winCheckerStart.do
4. I have seen some unclaimed prizes on the website; can Camelot tell me where the winning tickets were purchased?
No, information relating to winning tickets and winners is very restricted for security reasons.
Once an unclaimed prize has reached 25 days, the Camelot will release details of the area in which it was bought, along with the draw date and prize amount. This is to remind players to in that area to check their tickets and hopefully claim their prize! However, exact details regarding the winning ticket details are not released because this could jeopardise the anonymity of the winner.
5. How can I claim a prize?
You can find detailed information on how to claim prizes on the National Lottery website at: http://www.national-lottery.co.uk/player/information.do?info=howtoclaim
You can also call the National Lottery Line on 085 910 0000.
6. How does the Lucky Dip work?
The Lucky Dip facility uses software that has been designed to generate numbers at random. The software is tested to ensure it does just that. Each line is generated separately and the terminals are designed to have no memory of previously printed numbers. As this is the case, sometimes 2, or even 3 numbers may be repeated in different lines on the same ticket.
7. I want to set up a syndicate, where can I get advice and information?
Information and advice for running syndicates, and a free ‘syndicate kit’ are available from the National Lottery website at:
http://www.national-lottery.co.uk/player/p/help/syndicates.ftl
or by calling the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
8. Where can I find the odds of winning?
The odds of winning prizes on National Lottery games can be found in the ‘Players Guide’ which is available at all National Lottery retailers and via the National Lottery website at:
http://www.national-lottery.co.uk/player/information.do?info=pghome.
9. I bought a ticket but the wrong numbers were issued. Can I get a refund?
If your ticket is impossible to read, incomplete or the wrong numbers or draw dates have been entered, it is possible to cancel your entry. This must be done within 2 hours of purchase and at the terminal that issued the ticket.
Ticket purchased interactively (via the National Lottery website, mobile phone or Interactive TV) cannot be cancelled in any circumstance.
10. Why aren’t all National Lottery games available to play by subscription?
As operator, Camelot decides which National Lottery games are available by subscription. Currently, players can play Lotto and Thunderball by subscription.
11.I have lost my ticket! What should I do?
If you have lost your ticket, you should report it to Camelot immediately. You should put as much detail as possible about the ticket in writing, including the numbers chosen, the number of lines played, and the date and place of purchase. This should be done within 30 days after the relevant draw.
This should be sent to:
The National Lottery,
PO Box 287,
Tolpits Lane,
Watford,
WD18 9TT.
If you have any questions on this you should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000 as soon as possible.
12. Why do ticket sales stop at 7.30pm?
Ticket sales stop at 7.30pm on draw days. This ensures that Camelot has sufficient time to confirm the tickets entered into the draw in question before the draw starts.
