We conducted a series of briefings in the build up to the third licence competition. The presentations for each of these are available to download in PDF format.

  • Lottery Monitor presentation

    On Wednesday 21 June 2006, Robert Foster gave a presentation to the Lottery Monitor Conference at the British Museum.

  • City briefing

    The Commission held a City briefing on 22 July 2005 at the London Stock Exchange. The 40-minute briefing was aimed at professionals who wanted to comment on the competition and whose services were likely to be sought by bidding consortia.

  • Technology briefing

    This presentation was designed to give more information about the technology opportunity offered by the National Lottery.

  • Statement of Main Principles

    Published alongside the Statement of Main Principles in November 2005, this presentation was designed to illustrate the highlights of the Statement of Main Principles, as well as giving an overview of the UK Lottery environment.

  • World Lottery Forum presentation

    This presentation was given by Robert Foster and Mark Harris at the World Lottery Forum in Merida, Mexico in February 2005. The Forum offered the opportunity to brief industry professionals about the key principles of the UK Licence competition, and the progress that had been made.

  • Association of Convenience Stores presentation

    As part of the Commission’s programme of work to engage more closely with retailers about the competition process, Mark Harris made a presentation to the Government Relations and Campaigns Committee of the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS).

  • Presentations from the Bidder Briefing held on 15 May 2006

    On 15 May 2006, we held a briefing for potential consortia members. The aim of the briefing was to provide an opportunity to find out more about key aspects of the competition and regulatory requirements. It also gave interested parties a chance to put questions to a National Lottery Commission panel.

  • Wesminster Media Forum speech

    On 12 July 2006, Robert Foster gave a speech to a Westminster Media Forum seminar entitled UK National Lottery for the future. The seminar was sponsored by the National Lottery Commission.

  • Invitation to Apply

    The Invitation to Apply (ITA) was the formal invitation to bid for the third licence to run the National Lottery from 1 February 2009. The Draft ITA and Draft Licence were published in April 2006. The Final ITA and Final Draft Licence were published on 29 June 2006.
