ITA Clarification 26 - The existing terminal network

{=font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial}The Commission would like to clarify that,%{=font-size: 10pt; color: black; font-family: Arial} in the event that the Licence is awarded to a Bidder who is not the Current Operator, that the Current Operator cannot be compelled to withdraw its network of retailer terminals.  However, the Current Operator could not use the network for the purposes of the National Lottery, for example a section 6 licence, unless it had reached agreement with any successor operator to do so.  %The Current Operator would not be constrained in its use of the network for non-National Lottery purposes, but would of course be subject to the general requirement for other regulatory approvals, for example those granted by the Gambling Commission, if using them for other gambling activities such as the sale of society lotteries
