Commission Consultations

The Commission will occasionally launch formal consultations to invite comment from interested parties on a particular issue or policy. Details of consultations caried out by the Commission are published here.

  • Consultation on proposal to use National Lottery infrastructure to offer commercial services

    The Commission consulted with interested parties in order to identify any European or competition law considerations which we should take into account when reaching our decision on a proposal from Camelot to offer commercial services such as mobile phone top-ups, electronic bill payments and other similar services through National Lottery terminals.

  • Draft Enforcement Policy

    The Commission is seeking views on of interested parties on our draft Enforcement Policy. The policy sets out wthe Commission’s approach to enforcement and the criteria we will use during the third licence. The consultation is now closed.

  • Soft Gaming Themes Consultation

    On 15 May 2008 the National Lottery Commission published a consultation about the use of different gambling themes on National Lottery Scratchcards.

    The purpose of the consultation was to consider the extent to which it is appropriate that National Lottery Scratchcards use designs or imagery which reflect other gaming or betting products.

    We published a discussion paper ‘A Lottery for the Future’ in January 2005 and the ‘Summary of responses and areas for further analysis’ in July 2005. We engaged in debate with a wide range of interested parties about the structure of the competition.
