Statement of Reasons

This statement sets out the assessment of the main factors the Commission weighed in reaching its decision to select Camelot Group Plc as the Preferred Bidder for the next ten-year licence to run the National Lottery.

Please note that a minor amendment was made to the electronic version of the Statement of Reasons on 16 August 2007. Note xi has been amended to read ‘This figure includes SDUK’s commitment to contribute any profits in excess of 1% of sales to good causes.’
