2002/2003 Breaches
This section contains the licence breaches as recorded by the National Lottery Commission for the period 2002/2003. All licence breaches are published quarterly on the website and yearly in the Annual Report.

Strapline error
A player purchased a ticket on 24 October 2002 that stated that the jackpot was a double rollover with an estimated £15 million jackpot when the estimated jackpot for the following draw was in fact £3.3 million.

Mail Subscriptions
Camelot failed to introduce a telephone subscription service in accordance with the timetable it had agreed with us. The service would have particularly benefited players who are unable to complete paper forms (such as those with a visual impairment).

Draw Procedures
The independent auditor failed to follow draw procedures as set down by the Commission. This included incorrectly logging the results of the draw on the draw check sheet.

Mid-week Thunderball Subscriptions
A subscription service was not made available for Mid-week Thunderball on launch.

Player Anonymity
A winner’s details were faxed in error from a regional office to the Prize Payout department and were subsequently left on the fax over a weekend.
