Insufficient number of top prizes in Scratchcard class licence games

Description

Two Scratchcard games were launched with only four top tier prizes.

Background

The Scratchcard class licence requires that games promoted under it must offer no less than five top tier prizes.

Regulatory Action

The Commission investigated the issue and wrote to Camelot. Camelot accepted that the licence had been breached and a breach was recorded on 26 March 2004.

Outcome

Camelot has reviewed its operations and made changes to their processes to ensure that this incident could not be repeated.
