Description

Camelot failed to make a payment of £222,085.04 to the National Lottery Distribution Fund (NLDF) within the timeframe specified in the Section 5 Licence.

Background

The unpaid payment is an annual Adjustment Amount as defined in Paragraph 12(d) of Schedule 1 to the Section 5 Licence. The payment was due on 15 July 2003 but was not paid until 27 August 2003.

Regulatory Action

The Commission investigated the issue and wrote to Camelot. Camelot accepted the breach and it was recorded on 9 September 2003.

Outcome

In addition to the Adjustment Amount payment of £222,085.04, Camelot was required to pay penalty interest of £1,628.45 to the NLDF.
