Condition breached

Condition 2 of the Section 5 Licence

Description

Scratchcards for a closed game were destroyed by Camelot without giving notice to the Commission and HM Customs and Excise.

Background

Notification is required to allow the Commission and HM Custom and Excise to complete any checks and verification work on packs of tickets before they are destroyed.

Regulatory Action

The Commission investigated the issue and wrote to Camelot. Camelot accepted the breach and it was recorded on 8 July 2003.

Outcome

Camelot was reminded of the need to follow procedures and ensure that they are adhered to.
