Returns to good causes reporting

The proportion of National Lottery income that goes to good causes is transferred from the operator to the National Lottery Distribution Fund (NLDF) or the Olympic Distribution Fund (OLDF). The payments made by the operator are made to the NLDF and OLDF on behalf of the Secretary of State, who oversees these two funds. We make sure that the operator’s payments to the Secretary of State are accurate and on time.

We compile a quarterly report detailing the level of funds that have been transferred to the NLDF and the OLDF. The most recent version of this report is available to download on this page. Reports for the 2011-12 financial year will be posted in line with the timetable below :

The money generated by the National Lottery funds arts, heritage, sport, community and voluntary projects all over the UK as well as supporting projects concerned with health, education and the environment.
